PLANNING & DESIGNING OF TILE LAYOUTS:
From the initial stages of a tiling job, BLACK BIRD CONSTRUCTION’s team is able to assist and help clients make decisions when designing or planning a layout. Besides assisting with the design or layout for a tiling project, with our client’s plan at hand, we are able to create the ideal layout to follow the installation of your tiles. Here is quick basic guide to how BLACK BIRD CONSTRUCTION assists in helping to lay out a design:
- Locate the midpoint of the projects designated room walls
- Marking out of the design lines to the surface of where the tiles are to be installed (Floor, wall, etc.).
- Placing of ‘marker tiles’ in a row across the designated room – tile-spacers, of equal size, are used in between for ideal spacing.
- Any door casings are adjusted if necessary with a flush cut saw in order to allow the tiles to slip underneath.
